Emily of Minga is a woman with ambition and spirit, using her keen eye for design to create a collection of bags unlike any we've ever seen. Handmade from skilled artisans, each bag is woven from an all-natural, plant-dyed cactus fiber and uses high quality, vegetable tanned leather.
The Carmen crossbody has a thicker leather strap and more space than the bucket or satchel style. The adjustable strap can be set to different lengths and the leather closure folds over the top to loop through brass hardware with two different closure settings. The brass loop feature is also an exclusive aspect of this style.
Sustainably & ethically sourced using fair trade practices, each Minga bag helps keep an ancient tradition alive, and more importantly, a whole community of women employed.

About Minga's artisan partners:
Partnering with a lively, deeply talented group of 18 women in remote Ecuador, they use over 30 steps to create one bag. From harvesting this mountain cactus to dying the fiber with native barks, berries, and flowers, each bag is one-of-a-kind, and more importantly, keeping the tradition alive.
