Handmade from skilled artisans, this tote bag is woven from an all-natural, plant-dyed plant fiber and uses high quality, vegetable tanned leather.

The Celia Large Tote #006 features a classic deep earth brown color with contrasting saddle tan straps. A classic silhouette and color that will last for years.

This large, versatile bag has leather handles to carry in hand or around your shoulder or forearm. It has a linen inner lining and the leather base guarantees durability. A leather inner pocket is included for storing phones or wallets.

Modern design meets traditional methods and each bag takes 30+ steps to complete. From harvesting the cacti fiber to botanically dying each color, these totes are unlike any other.

Equally as awesome, each bag helps keep tradition alive, supporting a woman-led collective in remote Ecuador.

How to wear:

This bag could be worn as a smaller, two strap bag for over the fore arm or shoulder or as a longer, one strap cross body bag.

Features:

  • Ethically handmade from cactus fiber
  • Naturally dyed from native plants
  • Large tote style, fits laptop
  • Linen lined
  • Leather bottom
  • Leather inner pocket for storing phones or wallets
  • Due to handmade & dyed nature, each bag is one-of-a-kind

Dimensions:

  • Size: H 15" x L 19.5"
  • Leather bottom width: 6"
  • Inner pocket size: H 6.5" x L 6"

Due to the leather's natural finish each hide will keep its distinctive features, such as veins and pores. Please allow the leather time to naturally wear and soften over time.

About Minga's artisan partners:

Partnering with a lively, deeply talented group of 18 women in remote Ecuador, they use over 30 steps to create one bag. From harvesting this mountain cactus to dying the fiber with native barks, berries, and flowers, each bag is one-of-a-kind, and more importantly, keeping the tradition alive.

Every Minga bag has been ethically sourced for a mutually agreed upon, direct trade price and provides work to our artisan partners, a collaborative group of 18 women living in a remote region of Ecuador.
