Everyone has one - that group chat you run to when you discover something cool. Text Your Friends was born out of a growing list of new (and old) finds shared by our Confidants. We love sharing rad sh*t with our community and discovering the coolest spots from your recommendations.
From restaurants and bars to vintage fleas and art galleries, nothing is off the table. If you are looking for cool places to hit up on a trip or just discover a new local dive, shoot us a note and we'll send some your way. In the meantime, check out some of our recent finds:
RESTAURANT NO. 1
Jasmine Seafood Restaurant, San Diego
Tucked away in Convoy, the heart of San Diego's Asian community, Jasmine Seafood Restaurant serves up delicious Chinese dishes you'll definitely over-order – we recommend the fried turnip cakes. If you're feeling a pickup instead, head next door to Jasmine Express for their full dim sum menu to-go. Just as fresh, but you can enjoy it from your couch.
SHOP NO. 1
MARKT, Los Angeles
The curated vintage shop of your dreams. Stocked full with quality vintage and designer clothing for all. MARKT's selection never disappoints – always delightful finds at reasonable prices.
STAY NO. 1
Silverlake Pool & Inn, Los Angeles
A designer's dream, the Silverlake Pool & Inn transports you to another time, like bright modern escape to the Italian Riviera. Pop down to the hotel bar and trattoria, Marco Polo, for delicious coastal Italian cuisine made with fresh California-sourced ingredients. If you're feeling a quick bite, there's also the infamous (and $$$) Erewhon Market around the corner. But it's about the experience right?!
RESTAURANT NO. 2
Stowaway Kitchen, Denver
Our friends in Denver can't stop talking about Stowaway. Opened by husband-wife duo, Hayden and Amy, who traveled the world and brought back many treasures in the form of recipes and heart-warming food. Is there a better gift? We think not. Given their explorations, you'll notice a wonderfully diverse and delicious menu inspired by Australia, New Zealand, Greece, and beyond. But locals know, the one day not to miss is Japanese Special Friday and Donut Sunday. Someone teleport us, we'll be first in line for brunch tomorrow.
RESTAURANT NO. 3
Frank's Wine Bar, Brooklyn
We love this cozy neighborhood spot – grab a seat at the bar or find a spot al fresco when the weather is nice. Frank's serves up a 400 bottle wine list (woah, right) for experienced and novice wine lovers alike. Not to mention the food is a delight. The menu is ever-changing, but you can't go wrong with the 24-hour aged prosciutto and a classic caesar salad as an accoutrement to your sips.
