Death Valley Nails
Death Valley Nails is our latest obsession. Mixed by hand in the California desert, DVN makes salon-quality nail polish that is ten-free, vegan, cruelty-free and nontoxic. That alone is pretty next-level, but it gets better.
When we first stumbled upon this gem of a brand, we were instantly excited by the way Jenn, the founder, tells stories. Using 35mm film, friends, and behind-the-scenes video, we get a glimpse into the world that so effortlessly flows into her work. Somehow, she's made nail polish feel brand new.
In our first deep-dive scouting Death Valley Nails, we spent over an hour pursuing the catalog of vivid colors, all custom made and imagined by Jenn. From crisp names like Panhandle Pink and Wolfman of Del Rio, she infuses character and inspiration, pulling from her Texas childhood to her current adventures living in the American West.
Did we mention that Western Pipistrelle is a thermal polish that changes color with heat? Nothing like a parlor trick to really get us going.
Unlike the majority of polishes on the market, Death Valley nails creates one-of-a-kind colors without ten of the most toxic elements typically found in off-the-shelf versions.
